On This Date In Twin Cities History - June 7, 1892

On this date in 1892, the Republican National Convention is held at the Industrial Exposition Building in Minneapolis.  The convention ran until June 10th ending with the nomination of President Benjamin Harrison for re-election on the first ballot and Whitelaw Reid of New York for Vice President.  The 1892 convention was the first that allowed female delegates.
